Terms of Service

The rules for creating an account, using taaap, and purchasing a subscription.

Effective
September 9, 2026
Version
1.4

1. Operator and contact

taaap is operated by Siliconstation Software, a registered business name in Alberta, Canada. Email: [email protected].

These Terms apply together with our Privacy Notice, Acceptable Use Policy, Cookie Notice, and the current billing notice. Marketing consent is separate from accepting these Terms.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must have reached the age of majority where you live to create an account. If you act for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms and manage the service for that organization.

Keep your information accurate, protect your credentials, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Organization owners control plan and billing decisions; membership alone does not grant that authority.

If you purchase a paid subscription offered in Account, the purchase is completed through secure Checkout. The organization owner confirms whether the purchase is for personal or business use and selects the applicable province or territory before payment. Public QR and NFC links can be visited without creating an account.

3. The service

taaap provides tools for managing durable QR and NFC destinations, Pages, Forms, campaigns, and related activity information. Features and allowances depend on the selected plan.

Physical NFC products and domain registration are not included. You remain responsible for your domains, devices, content, and third-party destinations.

Free-plan access does not create a paid subscription. A paid subscription begins only after the organization owner completes secure Stripe Checkout and taaap verifies the successful payment.

Do not use taaap as an emergency, safety-critical, or guaranteed-delivery system.

4. Paid subscriptions

When a paid plan is purchased, it is billed in Canadian dollars for one organization, monthly or annually. Stripe Checkout shows the final plan, billing interval, price, and applicable taxes before payment. Annual subscriptions are charged in full for the year.

Before submitting payment, you can review the purchase details, correct the selected plan, interval, purpose, province or territory, or decline the transaction. Stripe provides the completed transaction record and subscription communications to the email supplied in Checkout. After taaap verifies the successful payment, your Account provides a downloadable contract record containing the accepted Terms and Billing Notice, seller contact, selected plan and interval, and final price and tax. You can also view current billing through your taaap Account and the Stripe billing portal.

A paid subscription renews automatically for the same interval until the organization owner cancels it through the Stripe billing portal or verified support. Cancellation stops future renewal and normally takes effect at the end of the already-paid period. Ordinary cancellation does not guarantee a prorated refund, without limiting mandatory rights.

We provide a 168-hour refund guarantee measured from successful payment. Contact [email protected] or use an available Stripe channel. We preserve the request time while owner authority is verified. A successful full refund for the current funded period ends paid access, stops renewal, and returns the organization to Free. Older or partial refunds do not automatically cancel a later funded period.

After the first failed renewal collection attempt, paid access may continue for exactly 168 hours while Stripe retries payment. A successful payment restores normal status. If payment remains unresolved at the deadline, paid access ends and the organization falls back to Free. We do not treat that failed renewal as a separate debt under these Terms.

Plan limits, features, retention targets, renewal terms, cancellation terms, and the current catalog are described in the Billing Notice. Mandatory rights and remedies continue to apply.

5. Your content and responsibilities

You keep your rights in your content. You give us a limited permission to host, process, display, transmit, and copy it only as needed to provide, secure, and support the service, follow your authorized instructions, and comply with law.

We do not acquire ownership of your content or permission to use your name, content, trademarks, or logos in our advertising without separate authorization.

  • Use only content, domains, and destinations you are authorized to use.
  • Give appropriate notices and obtain required permissions for information collected through your Forms.
  • Do not ask people to submit passwords, full payment-card details, identity-document copies, medical information, or information deliberately collected from children through taaap Forms.

6. Safety, suspension, and complaints

We may restrict links or Forms used for phishing, malware, fraud, deceptive redirection, or spam, and may suspend accounts for serious or repeated violations. We assess reports before treating them as findings and, where appropriate, explain the reason and provide an appeal through [email protected].

Suspension does not automatically delete data or remove rights that cannot lawfully be limited.

7. Ending use and data requests

You may stop using taaap at any time. Account deletion, organization deletion, and cancellation of a future paid renewal are separate actions. To request account deletion, send a verified request to [email protected].

Deleting one member does not automatically delete an organization or its shared data. Before an organization is deleted, ownership and authority must be verified and we will explain which public links and hosted content will stop working.

We handle access, correction, and deletion requests under applicable law. Some limited records may be retained when required for security, legal obligations, or dispute handling.

8. Availability and liability

We use reasonable care to operate taaap, but do not promise uninterrupted availability, a particular business result, or continued availability of a third-party destination. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights, remedies, warranties, or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims relating to the affected service is limited to the greater of CAD 100 or the fees paid for that service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude indirect or consequential loss and lost profits. These limits do not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, or liability that applicable law does not permit us to limit.

9. Changes and disputes

We will explain material changes and request new acceptance where required. Urgent legal or security changes may take effect sooner when necessary and lawful.

Contact [email protected] to seek an informal resolution. Alberta law and courts apply only where legally permitted. Mandatory protections and available forums in your jurisdiction remain available. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive statutory consumer rights.
